Eroded and Forgotten, 2024
foam, plaster, air dry clay, and acrylic paint
21 x 21 x 12 in
This mixed media sculpture represents a forgotten relic from an ancient, imagined civilization, shaped by time,
erosion, and memory. I was inspired by Pre-Columbian artifacts and though modest in size, it suggests the
presence of something monumental. It evokes a sense of lost time and forgotten forms, balancing symmetry with a
handmade quality. Eroded and Forgotten reflects an exploration of how ancient artifacts can carry emotional
meaning and connect us to distant pasts.
